CIP Computer Animations

  • Theoretical Animation

    • 8 Rotor Animation:  Theoretical animation by Victor Cook of an 8 rotor CIP unit.  The animation is meant to illustrate the exchange mechanics of the CIP engine in a simplified way... it is not  a correct physics model of the mechanism however.
      2,337,792 bytes (AVI Format)

CIP Demonstrations

  • 2 Rotor Demonstration

    • Weight Exchange:  This is a video of the latest model of the CIP engine's exchange mechanism in operation while mounted on the Cavendish Torsion Pendulum.

      8,054,984 bytes (high quality video)

  • 6 Rotor Demonstration

    • Uphill Movement:  The 6 rotor model propels up a slight incline while it exchanges weights.  The system had a lead weight added rotor #1 to assist in centrifugal force strength.  Notice the machine propels only when rotor #1 is facing in the same direction as the exchangeable weights.
      32 seconds
      2,025,476 bytes

    • Downhill Movement:  With the weights absent from the the 6 rotor model, the machine moves back downhill.  Notice that it only moves downhill when rotor #1's imbalance causes this to happen.

    • John Lu Valle Explains:  Using a postal scale, scientist John Lu Valle demonstrates that the machine is moving uphill.  He explains that the unit requires 1 ½ pounds (24 ounces) to start moving in the direction of thrust, and then 18 ounces to continue moving in that direction.  In the opposite direction, he explains it only requires 14 ounces.  Thus the system actually has to fight against resistance to move in the desired direction.
